About the Reentry Employment Resource Center (RERC)

The RERC is a private, not-for-profit organization whose mission is to significantly increase successful reentry of returning citizens to the Greater Grand Rapids Community.  The RERC is a central point of resource information for returning citizens, their families and potential employers; it is a promoter of coordination and collaboration among service providers and correction agencies; it is a leader in stimulating system innovations and change; it is an advocate for a reduction of stigma against these returning citizens.  The intended result is an effective community network for ex-offenders using the joint efforts of private, non-profit, business and government organizations to coordinate resources and services that achieve self-sufficiency and law abiding lifestyles.
